Moving to an old house in a tiny Australian country town was supposed to be our fresh start after Dad died.
So far, it’s not exactly going to plan.
Dad left behind a lot more than I expected, and Mum has started acting seriously weird whenever I ask questions.
Then there are the shoes.
Old and disgusting, and apparently I’m supposed to leave them alone.
Naturally, I don’t.
And somehow, witches are involved.
Actual witches.
Somebody hid those shoes for a reason, and I’m going to find out why.
I probably should have left them where they were.
